Location
A large area in the very center of the city, the
district abuts to three main arteries, namely
Yoseftal, Nissenbauim and Komemiyut (all of
which are included as possible Biennale sites).
Municipal Project
The plan:
A "face-lift" for the whole zone, including
resurfacing and re-lighting. The zone will also
be redefined in terms of statutory allowance to
include residences. new cultural activity is
planned, with a focus on nightlife.
Implementation:
Resurfacing scheduled for 2010.
Personality
Once a micro-industry center, the zone has now
deteriorated and is characterized by
supermarkets, garages and is essentially a
run-down island marring the center of the city.
